About Lumiere Children's Therapy: We work with children with communication disorders, fine and gross motor challenges, emotional disorders, language delays, sensory integration issues, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, and social skill challenges. We also focus on educating families, so they become allies in their child’s development and specific challenges. Lumiere Children's Therapy is looking for an exceptional patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and will be willing to supervise incoming Physical Therapists and PTA's. This position will include private client, preschool, and working within private schools. Requirements Physical Therapy (PT) Licensure in the State of Illinois 2-3 years of experience Positive attitude and a team player The belief that your amazing skill set can make a profound and lasting impact on the children you will work with while at Lumiere Children's Therapy. Responsibilities Address client’s aspects of performance to support engagement in skill development Select and adapt the appropriate per case physical therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions Apply interventions to maximize performance in all areas of need Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use Parent Caregiver Education Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals Collect data and document processes followed Complete notes and all paperwork in a timely fashion Skills Proven working experience as physical therapist Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of physical therapy Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media Familiarity with Physical Therapy evaluation tools Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and Dx including Autism Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession Professional behavior Excellent interpersonal communication skills Benefits CPR certification (pre-approved online course, if not yet obtained) 401K w/ 3% match once eligibility requirements are met Chicago paid sick time PTO 3.5 hours per paycheck Holidays Birthday for FT EE Mileage Reimbursement (if traveling to multiple locations to provide ABA therapy) Paid attendance for staff and/or ABA monthly meetings HIPAA and Sexual Harassment annual training Short- and Long-term disability options through AFLAC Medical (company pays 200/month toward premium) Dental Vision State Licensure: up to $125 Reimbursement for membership dues for affiliated association (ASHA, AOTA, APTA) when applicable CEUs: $300 or 1 PTO day (6.5 hours) Bereavement-2 days Depending on the position there is a possibility of a bonus Profit sharing – must be enrolled in 401k Covid-19 We are closely monitoring the news as the situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19) progresses.
