Job Description:
Summary of Job Objective: Generate new sales through contact
with existing and prospective clients and ad agencies. Specific
Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Have regular contact with clients
and ad agencies including over the phone and in person. 2. Develop
a thorough understanding of Client’s programs and ratings as well
as those of competitors in the market. 3. Present ratings, rate,
and research information as well as promotional opportunities. 4.
Continually prospect and generate new direct business as required.
5. Maintain high level of communication with Director of Sales
regarding account activity. 6. Strategize to increase share of
business with existing clients. 7. Present marketing strategies,
research information, promotional concepts, and proposals to sales
staff and management. 8. Write up orders, take care of make goods,
and handle all necessary client service needs. 9. Achieve and
exceed monthly sales goals. 10. Responsible for achieving budgets
on other Client Entities as determined by management. 11. Utilize
available sales tools i.e. Borell Compass, Rumple, and research
programs, etc. 12. Attend scheduled sales training sessions. 13.
Work closely with Production/Operations, Accounting, and Traffic to
complete all needed sales activity. 14. Utilize sales software
tools to accomplish goals. 15. Complete weekly activity reports and
attend weekly update meetings with Director of Sales. 16. Pick up
tapes from clients as needed 17. Entertain clients as needed 18.
Provide back-up for assigned Account Executive in their absence 19.
Obtain competitive and marketplace information when available 20.
