3 Positions Open1st Shift Pay starts at $23.08/hr. SUMMARY: Learns all activities required to process inbound and outbound shipments. Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to prepare product and all relevant paperwork for safe and secure shipment to customer locations while optimizing load configurations. Learns to efficiently utilize resources to minimize scrap, materials, and labor. Performs Leak Check duties for assigned incoming purchased weldments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned within this classification.Must strictly adhere to published company I.S.O. guidelines and procedures. Must strictly adhere to published Company safety guidelines and procedures.Becomes familiar with and gains an understanding of all equipment assigned to the area including safety aspects such as lockout/tagout, and associated equipment procedures, capabilities, and capacities.Must demonstrate an aptitude to read, interpret, prepare, and process all inbound and outbound orders utilizing standard documentation such as packing lists, bills of lading, hazardous materials documentation, export papers, or other authorized forms.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to attach labels or other identifying tags required on outbound shipments to insure accuracy of shipment.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to prepare paperwork for outbound shipments.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to accurately set-up, adjust, and operate all applicable equipment including saws, nailers, staple guns, and scales to meet shipping requirements.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to plan and lay out work by measuring, marking, or scribing dimensions and/or reference points on material or workpiece for the construction of boxes, crates, skids, or other applicable containments. Construction to be such that product is protected against weather and/or damage during transit. Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to prepare product for export.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to accurately inventory and document parts and/or product to be shipped.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to accurately maintain all documentation and distributes requested information to appropriate departments.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to verify proof of conformance of finished product to shipping specifications.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to plan activities required to complete job and achieve on time shipment.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to load and unload trucks in a timely manner.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to compile and maintain material control records on all expendable items within the department. Must demonstrate an aptitude for the use of common, generally accepted measuring devices applicable to the area as required. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to utilize company M.I.S. systems.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to utilize the U.P.S. and FedEx computers for processing and tracking shipments.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to compare identifying information and counts. Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to weigh or measure incoming items to verify information against bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, orders, or other records.Unpacks and learns how to examine incoming product or materials, identifies and informs Quality Assurance of damaged items, records shortages or other discrepancies and informs Supervisor of said issues.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to process incoming shipments within a timely fashion.Forwards invoices, along with signed packing slips, bills of lading, copy of Purchase Order to Accounting for payment.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to work from pick lists to prepare and load parts carts for movement to the assembly area when triggered by equipment build schedules.Must demonstrate an aptitude on how to issue material and parts to a picklist on MIS System. Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to maintain accurate counts of product, material, or company equipment assigned to area.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to do periodic cycle counts.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to safely operate overhead cranes, fork trucks, handtrucks, or other various equipment to move material or product.Must demonstrate an aptitude of principals, capacities, and safety aspects of how to properly select, attach, and move materials and/or equipment with the appropriate lifting devices such as chains, clevices, or straps.Must demonstrate an aptitude of how to perform simple upkeep and/or cleaning of equipment.Must demonstrate an aptitude of stock locations and stores excess material properly and in a timely manner.Maintains housekeeping standards in compliance with established company policies. Must be able to work with supervision to accomplish any given task.Assists others as required.LEAK CHECKScope of Work: Perform leak check for all incoming purchased weldments. Excluding vessels, heat exchangers, and other large weldments that will be leak checked by Production Welder or Quality Control. Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to set-up, program, adjust, and operate vacuum pumping systems, pump stand, portable unit, and do applicable utility connections for water, power, and exhaust on portable unit.Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to set-up, program, adjust, and operate the helium mass spectrometer.Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to calibrate the helium mass spectrometer and performs calibration function on a daily basis prior to any vacuum leak testing.Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to prepare for leak testing functions by blanking off ports, flanges, couplings, or other as required.Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to perform leak-testing functions with the helium mass spectrometer while part is under vacuum or pressure.Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to pressure test components with helium or air to meet specifications.Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to check for leaks utilizing snoop or other specified methods.Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to set-up, program, adjust, and operate the hydrostatic test equipment when applicable.Has demonstrated an aptitude of how to perform hydrostatic test functions when applicable.Has demonstrated an understanding of the capabilities, capacities, and limitations associated with all equipment assigned to leak check area.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) and a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training; LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence and to complete all required paperwork neatly. Effectively able to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic knowledge of determining angles is required in order to properly build containers. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percentages. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply a common sense approach and aptitude to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Fork lift and overhead crane and lifting training and certification required.
