The successful candidate must be a self-motivated hands-on inventory control specialist with the ability to adapt to daily priority changes within the organization, work with purchasing, planning, operations, quality, and technical staff to understand the flow of information and product, participate in cross-functional teams to improve processes, and communicate potential issues in a timely manner. This individual may be called upon to assist any area of the organization so they must be able to embrace learning and grow with the organization. The successful candidate could be deployed on an as needed basis to support any area in the organization deemed necessary by the Controller. Below is a partial list of possible support functions for this position.General: The successful candidate must be able to embrace learning and grow with the organization. This associate will be required to absorb high level tasks and create, formulate and execute specific efficient plans and strategies to complete the assignments. The candidate will function as a key member within the supply chain, inventory planning and control teams. This position requires crisp focus and excellent multi-disciplined communication skills.Specific Duties: Ensure inventory accuracy by conducting and documenting required cycle counts, investigate errors and properly update the ERP system.Ensure purchase orders and other inventory control records are properly processed and maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures.Reconcile manufacturer/outside supplier discrepancies to include damaged goods, over/short shipments to ensure product is returned or credit is issued by the supplier.Assist with completion of receiving and shipping product which may include expediting and moving (picking up and dropping off) parts.Picking and kitting parts, including preparing required paperwork and notification of shortages.Identify and properly disposition dead or expired inventory.Work with purchasing department to identify potential stock/product shortage situations.Participate in activities related to disposition of recalls, returns, shipping errors.Identify and communicate manufacturer production/supply problems (such as packaging problems) to facilitate high levels of internal/external customer service.Assist in creating procedures to optimize inventory turns.Assist in creating manufacturing orders.Assist in developing or updating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions.Maintain control and storage of parts as required by quality requirements.Maintain Kanban inventories by properly communicating with supply chain personnel.Assist with tooling inventory management.Other Duties: Work cooperatively providing support to all levels of the organization.The candidate must also be hands on and willing to work all assigned aspects within the organization driving initiatives to completion on time and within budget.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of inventory control experienceSpecific capability in the following software:Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, PowerPoint and Excel)Be capable of learning aspects of Quantum Control (ERP software)Be capable of learning aspects of SolidWorks Enterprise (PDM)Be capable of learning ITAR principles and proceduresBe capable of learning AS9100 principles and proceduresExceptional problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skillsExcellent written and oral communications skillsExceptional attention to detailDemonstrated ability to overcome challenges and drive projects to completionDESIRED REQUIREMENTSAerospace Industry ExperiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand at least 50% of the timeAbility to lift/carry 11 - 20 pounds frequently (34-66% of time OR 4-6 hours); ability to lift/carry 21 - 50 pounds occasionally (0-33% of time OR 1-3 hours)Ability to push/pull 11 - 20 pounds frequently (34-66% of time OR 4-6 hours); ability to push/pull 21 - 50 pounds occasionally (0-33% of time OR 1-3 hours)Ability to reach, bend, stoop and/or grasp frequently (34-66% of time OR 4-6 hours)Job Type: Full-timePay: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Experience:Inventory control: 1 year (Required)Work Location: One location
