Overview:Registered Nurse RN, Stroke Neuro ICU, Javon Bea Hospital - RiversideNight Shift (7:00P - 7:30A)72 hours / 2 weeksEvery 3rd Weekend Rotation and Holiday RotationThe Stroke Neuro ICU is an 8 bed unit dedicated to the care of stroke and neuro patients. Nurses on this unit will take care of all acuity levels of stroke and neuro patients.Provides compassionate, culturally sensitive, holistic nursing care to patients in a clinical setting, supporting the Mercyhealth nursing mission, practice values and strategic plan. May include variable shifts, weekends, holiday and/or on-call hours. Utilizes resources available to teach and support patient and family education. Provides education to the appropriate level of understanding.Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.Utilizes clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Acts to resolve systems breakdowns and engages self and others in providing solutionsUtilizes critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience, manages complex situations and delegates to other staff appropriately.
