Overview:.80 FTE/64 hours biweeklyDay shiftRotating weekends,
rotation provided for the year1-2 Overnight call shifts a monthMust

RiversideLocated in Rockford, ILPerforms radiographic and
fluoroscopic procedures and related techniques. Administers
x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician

the organizationResponsibilities:Performs diagnostic radiographic,
portable, c-arm and fluoroscopic procedures.Corroborates patient's
clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented
and available to the radiologist and provider.Prepares and
positions patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain
desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.Selects and
operates imaging equipment, image capture devices and accessories
to successfully perform procedures.Positions patient to best
demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability
and comfort.Immobilizes patient as required for examination.Assumes
responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of
patient during procedures.Initiates basic life support when
necessary.Determines radiographic technique and exposure
factors.Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize
exposure to patient, self, and others.Processes images and reviews
for proper identification and quality control.Uses radiology
information systems (including PACS), completes all required
records and reports, submits images and data for physician review
and interpretation.Provides practical instruction for radiography
students and other partners.Observes universal protocol, standard
precautions and appropriate patient identifiers.Applies principles
of patient safety during procedures, including assisting and
transporting patients.Utilities appropriate scripting, barriers,
and patient identifiers.Operates mobile radiologic equipment in
operating room, emergency room, or at patient's bedside.Assists
radiologist in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.Prepares
contrast media and assists in administration.Culture of Excellence

ExperienceGraduate of an accredited School of Radiologic
TechnologyCertification and LicensureARRT Radiography registration
requiredIEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in
IllinoisWI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in
WisconsinApproved CPR or BLS certification within 90 daysSkills and
AbilitiesLanguage SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents
such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of organization.Mathematical SkillsAbility
to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure,
using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to
compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar

hovermat, slider boards, etc. Moving (pushing, pulling) patients in
wheelchairs and patient carts. Equipment- moving (pushing and
pulling) portable imaging equipment. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust
focus.Level of SupervisionSome independent judgment is
required.SupervisesProvides clinical supervision of radiography
