Job Description:
Summary:Interviews applicants and obtains necessary financial
information. Analyzes and screens loan requests on all types of
Agricultural commercial loans. Packages loans as required,
negotiates terms and conditions with the borrower. Recommends terms
and conditions of loans for approval. Makes final credit decisions
within Loan Policy approval guidelines. Informs prospective
borrowers of loan commitments. Works with borrowers to keep loans
current. Responsible to regulatory agencies and external auditors
to ensure compliance with banking regulations. Participates in bank
management activities. Promotes the financial institution and its
services.Essential functions.Supports internal and external
customers at every touch point including phone, email, text, online
and in-person interactions to resolve questions and concerns.
Builds relationships by communicating with professionalism and
empathy. Takes ownership of the customer experience by combining
agricultural and business knowledge with understanding of each
customer's current financial situation with a focus on positive
outcomes and resolution.Originates ag and commercial loans while
meeting individual sales goals and contributing to bank sales
goals.Inspect farm operations, analyzing the use of labor
management and capital, and developing projections used to extend
credit.Reviews and analyzes credit prior to submission to loan
committee or Board of Directors for approval.Ensures financial
institution compliance with laws, rules, and regulations governing
operations and product offerings. Coordinates the development or
revisions of policies, procedures, and agreements to ensure
compliance with regulatory process. Ensures that deviations from
policy are corrected and reported.Develop and mentor upcoming
commercial lenders within the agricultural market.Participate in
product development to meet agricultural market segment.Participate
in agricultural associates and serve as a representative of the
bank in community affairs to increase the Bank's visibility and to
enhance new and existing business opportunities.Education and
Experience:Bachelor's degree preferred and minimum of five years of
related work experience.Knowledge of lending policies and
procedures, secondary marketing programs, and state/federal
regulations.Strong financial, analytical, and underwriting
skills.Proven track record of consistently exceeding established
sales goals.Skills/Abilities:Proficient in working with customers
to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve
their problems to exceed their expectations. Has strong knowledge
of state and federal regulations, consumer lending operations,
policies, procedures, products and services. Maintains a strong
internal and external customer focus, including the ability to
think in terms of client experience/prospective.Displays positive
attitude and enthusiastic personality with the ability to foster
enthusiasm, engagement, and participation in various training and
meeting settings. Encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride,
