Job Title: Helpdesk Level II
Location: Rockford, IL

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
-
In general, the successful candidate could be deployed to support
any area in the organization deemed necessary by the Controller. -
-This position is highly energetic requiring significant
multi-tasking and exceptional communication skills across many
aspects of the business. Below is a partial list of support
functions for this position.

GENERAL -
-
The ideal candidate must be:
- A self-motivated generalist with the ability to adapt to daily
priority changes within the organization
- May be required to assist any area of the organization. - These
areas include but are not limited to: Information Technology,
Operations, and Cybersecurity
- Candidate must be able to embrace learning and grow with the
organization
- Candidate will be required to absorb high level tasks and
create, formulate, and execute specific efficient plans and
strategies to complete the assignments
- Candidate will function as a key member within the
team
- Requires crisp focus and excellent multi-disciplined
communication skills

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
-
The candidate's job duties may include:
- Updating hardware and software packages
- Revising documentation
- Installing computer and network systems
- Removing malware and other security threats
- Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual information systems
maintenance
- Monitoring computer system backups
- Preventing data corruption
- May also provide IT support for non-technical
employees
- Facilitate end-user training on new software applications and
other technology.
OPERATIONS
-
The candidate may be needed to support various operations, which
could include but is not limited to moving IT equipment, area
maintenance, and physically cleaning and dusting computers.

CYBERSECURITY
-
The candidate may be required to support our ongoing cybersecurity
compliance projects, which could include but is not limited to
assisting in making operational changes, and testing. - -

OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Assist with maintaining network / system security by following
NIST type best practices.
- Assist with maintaining and upgrading existing computer network
and systems including software, workstations, and other physical
hardware
- Assist with installing and configuring equipment to update or
fix hardware or software issues
- Assist with communicating and escalating networking issues to
other IT team members and management
- Assist with troubleshooting flaws in software, hardware
configuration, and communications equipment, and then fixing
problems as they arise
- Assist with fixing software and hardware configuration issues
for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems
- Assist with setting up new users -
- Assist with creating and maintaining a knowledge base of issues
and resolutions
- Assist with systems imaging and onboarding/offboarding
users
- Assist with supporting management for antivirus, email,
patches, and applications
- Assist with creating and managing active directory and email
accounts
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as
assigned
- Participates in special projects as required
- All other duties as assigned by the Controller

MIMINUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4+ years' experience, however, will consider certifications
or schooling -
- Good analytical background
- Knowledge of networking services and common networking
protocols
- Computer proficiency and understanding of various types of
hardware and software
- Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking and
organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to overcome challenges and drive projects
to completion
- Helpful but not required: A+ /Network+ / Security + / MCP /
Microsoft Fundamentals
- U.S. Citizen, no dual citizenship allowed

- A technical 4-year college/university degree preferred
- Microsoft Windows desktop environment
- Microsoft Windows server environment
- Windows Hyper-V virtual environment
- Microsoft office 365 products
- Cisco network products and routing protocols
- SolidWorks Enterprise PDM software
- MATLAB Simulink
- LabVIEW or equivalent
- OSI Model and network functions
- Badge readers and door locks
- QMS
- Help desk services
- NIST 800-171
- CMMC
- MCSE certifications
