• High school or equivalent (Preferred)Machinist/Mechanical Assembly: 3 years (Preferred)Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)Full Job DescriptionThe perfect candidate for this position will have the ability to take machined parts and put them together to assemble equipment for the snack food industry, including extruders, ovens, fryers and auxiliary equipment.   Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and productsUtilize hand held tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gunAssemble fabricated parts, components and units per product specificationsMaintain inventory of product in work stationsPerform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standardsIdentify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identifiedRework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changesPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety proceduresMaintain a clean and safe work areaUse manual machine such as Bridgeport to machine parts for assembly of equipmentMachine and assemble various R&D projects. Provide feedback regarding design practicality.Qualification requirements

  High School Diploma or GED4+ years machinist/mechanical assembly experience requiredPossession of mechanical tools a plusBasic reading skills. Must be able to follow directionsAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or ideaHigh attention to detail and self-motivation skillsSpecific technical or vocational training or certification may be required; may be required to pass ruler testPhysical demands and abilities
