Including time/attendance records, processing department payroll, maintaining Poly-Optimum log for employee#s licensure, certifications, and mandatory in-services, enters statistical and quality improvement data compiling reports for Manager. Completes requisitions and requests as directed by manager. Orders and maintains office supplies keeping adequate amounts available. Establishes/maintains a filling system to ensure easy follow-up and retrieval procedure for Manager. Provides manager with input as to budgetary needs while monitoring the budget. Creates reports and records as needed using appropriate software. Troubleshoots software/hardware problems and follows up with appropriate area. Takes committee meeting notes, participates on system, entity, department or HUC committees, and provides communications on new clerical information for clerical staff. Initiates equipment repair, disposal process #disposition form# and prompt return of special beds/other items. Orders equipment within pre-approved limits. Participates in the new hire process. Orients and supports new HUC#s and staff to become familiar with clerical responsibilities.# Assists in data collection according to established protocol, ensuring that documentation clearly and concisely reflects the necessary components of the patient encounter. Provides safe patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as defined by the Role Responsibility Grids. Regularly communicates necessary information to the RN and seeks guidance as needed. Assembles all needed equipment and supplies to provide quality patient care. Prepares and maintains supplies in patient rooms. Assists with prompt repair/replacement of non-functional devices/equipment. Reinforces the patient teaching protocols as they were delegated by the Registered Nurse. # Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program. Completion of medical terminology course or work experience demonstrating knowledge and use of medical terminology. Minimum of one year experience as a HUC or minimum of two years# experience in a similar role. # Certifications/Licensure Current CNA certification in applicable state. Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days. # Special Physical Demands The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands to handle, finger, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, steep, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent

Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program.

Completion of medical terminology course or work experience demonstrating knowledge and use of medical terminology.

Minimum of one year experience as a HUC or minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.

Certifications/Licensure

Current CNA certification in applicable state.

Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
