Job Description MECHANICAL ENGINEER Machine Design Location:
ROCKFORD, IL Duration of Job: DIRECT, FULL TIME, MONDAY-FRIDAY,
7:00 am-4:30 pm Experience with AutoCAD 2-D & Inventor 3-D Required Education
Requirement: BSME with 5 years of work experience, MSME with 6
Months of work experience. (Will consider Mechanical Technology
Associates Degree with 10 years of Machine Tool related work
experience) We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our client in
the Rockford, IL Area. In this role, the engineer would design
mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and some electrical to meet both
the requirements of the project and shipment schedule. Design and
Engineer Machine Tool equipment and machines such as Gear
manufacturing machinery and Precision grinding machines. Some of the positions essential functions include but are not
limited to: Works from sketches to create working drawings,
layouts, details, and BOM, utilizing orthographic, auxiliary
projections, sections, and solids. Understands dimensional fits,
stack-ups, and geometric tolerancing (ANSI Y 14.5) Has basic
working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic components
Incorporates power transmission components in designs. Examples:
gears, belts, chains, clutches, and ball screws. Has knowledge of
specifications for materials and heat treat metals Performs
technical calculations and analyses Measures and makes sketches of
components and assemblies at the workstation and at shop assembly
area Uses ERP System for Item Master and BOM creation and use Uses
AutoCAD 2-D and Inventor 3-D computer drawing systems Espo
