This position will be located onsite at our Machesney Park, IL office.The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing customer service to patients, insurance companies, employers, and third parties. This position pays $15.00 an hour!What we can offer you:Quarterly bonusesPTO and flex-time that allows you to have work/life balance401k program with an employer matchEmployee Ownership programRobust benefit packageAnd more!What will you be doing?Receive incoming calls and complete account follow-upReceive inquiries, concerns, or complaints related to patient accounts from patients, insurance carriers, employers, etc.Counsel patients regarding obligations related to account balancesReview explanations of benefits for correct adjudication and payment according to applicable managed care contract terms and reimbursementApply payments and adjustments to patient accounts as appropriateReview and update patient and insurance demographics as appropriateMaintain current understanding of applicable coding guidelines, state and federal regulations, and managed care guidelinesResponsible for notifying management of any trends or denialsBasic understanding of CPT, ICD-9, and HCPCS codingResponsible for resolution and appropriate refunding of credit balances. Includes working credit balance reports as neededAssist with training for new and established employeesOther duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to function in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing prioritiesExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skillsAttention to detailExcellent communication skills - both verbal and writtenEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentPreferred:Prior phone experienceOne year of customer service experienceOne year of experience in physician officeUnderstanding of managed careKnowledge of medical terminologyEvery team member exhibits our core values:Team firstLift others upShare openlySet and crush goalsDelight the client#ZR
