Join our team at Republic Services, Inc., an industry leader in non-hazardous solid waste and recycling services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Commercial Driver Class B to operate our iconic blue trucks. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck and providing top-notch service to our customers. Your work will involve the collection, transfer, and possibly disposal of waste and recyclable materials. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that we continue to serve communities efficiently while adhering to safety standards and regulatory compliance. Operate Class B vehicles in the collection and transportation of waste or recyclables, adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements. Load and unload waste and recyclable materials. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, report any mechanical problems or incidents. Interact professionally with customers and the public during collections. Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles safely Knowledge of road safety and navigation Effective communication skills Basic mechanical knowledge Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record DOT medical certification Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including the ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
