Job Description Job Description Position Summary: The Inventory
& Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily
coordination and control of warehouse operations and inventory
processes within a food manufacturing environment. This role
ensures raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and ingredients
are received, stored, rotated, and distributed accurately and
efficiently while maintaining food safety, quality, and regulatory
compliance. The Supervisor will lead warehouse staff, implement
process improvements, monitor stock levels, and support production
needs to ensure optimal workflow and minimal downtime. Key
Responsibilities Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory
levels for raw ingredients, packaging materials, WIP
(work-in-progress), and finished products Monitor cycle counts,
reconcile discrepancies, and investigate variances Utilize ERP or
inventory management systems to create timely and accurate
inventory reports Implement FIFO/FEFO procedures to ensure product
freshness, traceability, and regulatory compliance Coordinate cycle
counts, physical inventory counts and audits Warehouse Operations
Oversee receiving, storage, staging, and shipping of materials in
accordance with food safety standards Develop and maintain
efficient warehouse layout, storage systems, and material flow
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment
(forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, etc.) Schedule and prioritize
shipments to support production and customer demand Enforce
workplace safety guidelines, including OSHA and HACCP requirements
Leadership & Training Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse
associates and forklift operators Coordinate staffing levels, time
schedules, and workload distribution Conduct performance reviews
and support ongoing employee development Promote a culture of
accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Regulatory &
Quality Compliance Ensure food safety controls and sanitation
practices are followed at all times Maintain accurate lot tracking,
documentation, and labeling in accordance with FDA and GMP
standards Support SQF, BRC, or other third-party audits and
certification requirements Follow all company policies relating to
traceability, allergen control, and product segregation Process
Improvement Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy
and warehouse efficiency Develop SOPs for receiving, storage,
staging, and material handling Implement KPIs and monitor warehouse
performance metrics Work cross-functionally with purchasing,
production, quality assurance, and logistics teams Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business,
Operations, or related field preferred 3–5 years of warehouse or
inventory experience in a food manufacturing, CPG, or related
environment Supervisory or lead-level experience required Strong
knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance
Experience using ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Forklift
certification preferred Skills & Competencies Strong organizational
and time-management abilities Ability to analyze data and generate
accurate reports Excellent communication and leadership skills
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities Commitment to
safety, quality, and continuous improvement Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Standing, walking, and operating
warehouse equipment for extended periods Ability to work in cold or
refrigerated environments if necessary Work Environment Food
