Job Description:
Buyer – Procurement & Vendor Relations Illinois | Hybrid (Onsite
for first 6 months ) Compensation & Schedule • $55,000–$65,000/year
(W2) • Full-time • Monday–Friday • Hybrid after 6-month onsite

Buyer supports multi-distribution procurement operations with a
focus on maintaining accurate product data, responding to sales and
supply inquiries, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will
interact directly with suppliers to negotiate pricing, manage
product setup, and ensure service level commitments. This role is
vital in maintaining inventory accuracy, vendor relations, and
pricing integrity. Key Responsibilities • Request quotes, negotiate
pricing, and arrange delivery/payment with suppliers • Maintain
product data, run rates, and setup details in purchasing systems •
Analyze trends and reports to drive better pricing and inventory
levels • Collaborate across departments to communicate inventory,
delays, and product changes • Respond to internal customer requests
through ticketing or system channels • Review new product specs to
assess for assortment expansion • Support Purchasing Coordinators
and help expedite critical orders • Guide junior staff and perform
additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s
degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience) •
3–5 years procurement experience in a multi-distribution center
environment • Intermediate Excel and MS Office skills; basic ERP or
purchasing software familiarity • Detail-driven with experience in
pricing, order tracking, and inventory systems Core Tools & Systems
• Microsoft Excel & Word • Outlook & internet for supplier research
• FACTS (ERP) or equivalent purchasing system • Internal order
management platforms • DC inventory tracking systems Preferred
Skills Negotiation experience with vendors or suppliers Familiarity
with product lifecycle and SKU management Ability to manage
cross-functional communication with sales, AP, and warehouse EEO /
