This Senior Director of Product Management -Twilio Data Substrate
will be part of the Data, Identity and Security product team and
will drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for unifying data
from disparate systems and data stores into a structured and
governed data substrate. This role will play a pivotal part in
defining API contracts that standardize data ingestion and
governance, ensuring seamless data accessibility, system health
observability metrics, and alignment across internal teams and
customer-facing services. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity,
collaborates across R&D and IT teams, and can implement
scalable governance frameworks that enable data-driven
decision-making and operational efficiency. *Required: 8 years of
experience in data architecture, governance, or strategy roles,
ideally in large-scale, complex environments. Deep understanding of
data movement, storage, integration, governance, and system
observability frameworks. Proven experience leading
cross-functional teams to establish data governance frameworks and
policies. Strong knowledge of data management best practices,
including security, compliance, and lifecycle management. Hands-on
experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), API
management, and data engineering. Strong communication and
stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align R&D
and IT teams toward a unified data vision. Ability to navigate
ambiguity, drive clarity, and execute in fast-paced environments.
Experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and
governance tooling is a plus. Worked on data platforms, customer
engagement platforms, and streaming applications. Proficiency in
the big data ecosystem e.g. Kafka, Spark, Presto/Athena, or similar
technologies. Technically savvy and experienced with the cloud,
APIs, communications, enterprise software, data reliability, and
ETL techniques. You have a customer oriented approach. You have an
amazing ability to understand the customer’s challenges and are
able to articulate a vision to solve challenges to make an impact.

remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.

candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois,

provided for candidates hired in those locations only. The
estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows: Based in
Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota,
Vermont or Washington D.C. : $$223,300.00 - $279,200.00 Based in
New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of
the San Francisco Bay area): $236,500.00-$295,600.00 Based in the
San Francisco Bay area, California: $262,700.00-$328,400 This role
may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity and corporate
bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following
benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid
sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave. The
successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on
permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience,
