HR Generalist/Recruiter (Hybrid - Chicago, IL) Full-Time |
Chicago Loop | $85,000-$95,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Hybrid Schedule: In-office 2 days/week (Wednesday 1 additional
day); shifting to 3 days/week (Tuesday-Thursday) after Labor Day A
leading investment management firm is seeking an experienced HR
Generalist/Recruiter to join its collaborative and high-performing
Human Resources team. This is a dynamic role for someone who
thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment and is eager to
grow within a broad-based HR function. The HR Generalist/Recruiter
will play a key role in recruitment, employee relations, and HR
operations, while also serving as backup for payroll. This position
is ideal for someone polished, emotionally intelligent, and
confident in handling sensitive HR matters. Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle recruiting for a variety of roles across the
organization (approximately 40% of the role) Serve as a backup for
payroll processing (approximately 30%), supporting 246 employees as
the firm transitions from ADP to Workday Handle generalist duties
including benefits administration, employee relations, DEI
initiatives, and open enrollment (approximately 30%) What We're
Looking For: 7-12 years of HR experience, ideally within
professional services (flexible for the right candidate) Strong
experience in recruitment and general HR functions; payroll
experience a plus Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a
plus High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and the ability
to manage confidential information responsibly Strong interpersonal
skills and a growth-oriented mindset This HR Generalist/Recruiter
position reports directly to the VP, Director of Human Capital
Management and will be part of a seven-person HR team. The ideal HR
