JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Coordinator performs administrative, program
coordination, and data management duties in support of a wide range
of human resources operations. Responsibilities include but are not
limited to, conducting new employee orientation, time & expense
management, tracking key metrics, reporting, HRIS administration,
maintenance of employee records and providing administrative
support.
This role is facility based in Amboy, IL five days a week. it is
not a remote nor a hybrid role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for weekly and bi-weekly payroll input, and acting
as initial degree of contact for inquiries and issues related to
payroll.
- Maintains HRIS by processing employee data changes and auditing
data to ensure integrity.
- Conducts new hire orientation and works with hiring managers to
ensure effective onboarding of new hires. Conducts 60 day New Hire
Interviews.
- Submits required paperwork for Amboy temporary employees,
tracks temporary employees and provides reporting to HR Manager as
required.
- Tracks employee terminations, updates systems, communicates
terminations as needed for closure (i.e., badge deactivation, exit
interviews, IT system shutdown, etc.).
- Processes unemployment claims for Amboy location.
- Advises employees and managers on policies and procedures.
Provides general customer service to employees and serves as main
point of contact for resolving routine HR and HRIS issues.
- Coordinates and participates in recruitment for local
positions, appointment process, preparing reports.
- Responsible for the oversight of location's workers
compensation claims, including but not limited to notification to
and communication with the Company's Workers Compensation Company,
maintenance of employee files, and coordination with medical
providers.
- Maintains accurate records ensuring data integrity, compliance
and tracking.
- Manages HRIS audit process and follow-up with HR team members
to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
- Ensure the highest level of commitment to Safe Quality Food
(SQF) in order to provide assurance that all products have been
produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible
standards.
- Responsible for OSHA Recordkeeping for the Amboy facility (OSHA
300 & 300A forms).
- Performs other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong data analysis skills and an aptitude for analysis and
measurement
- Strong interpersonal communication, writing, attention to
detail and organization skills
- Excellent time management, prioritization and listening
skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel,
PowerPoint); experience with HR systems preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a broad
variety of projects
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with
employees across all levels
- Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency and ability to
deliver quality results and meet tight deadlines
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong level of influence and negotiation skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity
to changing needs and situations
- Knowledge of employment laws and general human resources
concepts EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources (strongly preferred) or
equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of professional work experience, preferably in a
similar role
- Previous experience with HR systems is a plus
