Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current state nursing license Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Extensive cardiac experience Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our medical surgical, cardiac telemetry, stroke neuro, and step-down ICU units. The candidate must have extensive cardiac experience. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and provides guidance to other units or departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.
