Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n MRI Tech - MRI Tech /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 40 hours per week with various shift options available /n• 5 eight-hour shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM /n• 4 ten-hour shifts: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM /n• 3 twelve-hour shifts: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM /n• May require occasional weekend shifts, on-call rotation, and holiday rotation /n• Must be flexible with hours and shifts to support department needs /n• Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images /n• Prepare patients for procedures and provide instruction to minimize anxiety /n• Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk /n• Select and operate magnetic resonance systems, surface coils, and associated equipment /n• Position patients and equipment for optimal anatomic imaging /n• Select appropriate pulse sequences following established protocols /n• Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access /n• Prepare and administer contrast media /n• Evaluate images for technical quality and manipulate digital data for display /n• Use radiology information systems including PACS /n• Provide basic life support when necessary /n• Graduate of accredited radiography program required /n• Experience as an MRI Technologist required /n• ARRT Radiography registration required /n• ARRT MRI registration required /n• Approved CPR or BLS certification required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates as a comprehensive hospital and trauma center providing advanced medical imaging services.
