Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Float Pool position on night shifts in Cardiac Telemetry and Step-Down units, requiring an active IL RN license and strong cardiac experience. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital float pool covering Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, and Step-Down ICU units - Cares for adult med-surg, cardiac, neuro, and progressive care patient populations - Uses telemetry monitoring equipment and administers care for stroke and cardiac patients - Night shift schedule from 7:00PM to 7:30AM - May float between multiple units depending on staffing needs - Responsible for developing and implementing individualized patient care plans - Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care - Performs clinical documentation according to standards of care - Administers medications and treatments as prescribed - Provides patient and family education - Expected to participate in performance improvement and shared governance activities - Uses clinical expertise to support the patient’s longitudinal care across units Requirements - Active Illinois RN license required - Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in relevant clinical settings - Strong experience with cardiac and telemetry patients - Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications required - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required - Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated as per hospital requirements Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-642250.
