Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care / Coronary Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU, Step Down, Telemetry Med/Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Current State License Certifications: CPR, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Extensive Cardiac Experience Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, and Step-Down ICU units. Extensive cardiac experience is required. The candidate must have a current state license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice acts. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking in regard to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the relevant chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
