Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CT Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: CT Technologist - CT Tech Job Details: • Perform computed tomography procedures and related diagnostic imaging techniques • Administer x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation • May be required to alternate shifts, work weekends, holidays, and take call • Flex hours and overtime may be necessary to provide quality patient care • Perform diagnostic CT procedures and may also perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable radiographic exams if assigned • Corroborate patient's clinical history with procedures and ensure proper documentation • Prepare patients for procedures, provide instructions, and minimize patient anxiety • Select and operate imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories • Position patients to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest while respecting patient comfort • Practice aseptic technique and prepare/administer contrast media as appropriate • Start and maintain intravenous access when required • Initiate basic life support actions when necessary • Provide patient education and assist with transporting patients • Maintain inventory and supplies for assigned area • Provide practical instruction for students and partners • Graduate of an accredited radiography program required • 2 years of CT experience required • ARRT Radiography registration required • ARRT Computed Tomography registration required • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required • Approved CPR or BLS certification required Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive hospital and trauma center providing advanced medical services to the community.
