Responsibilities - Work in a hospital diagnostic imaging department specializing in MRI - Performs MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation - Shift options include 5x8 hour, 4x10 hour, and 3x12 hour rotations, with some weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements - Responsible for operating magnetic resonance systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment - Uses radiology information systems including PACS - Adheres to magnetic resonance safety guidelines to minimize risk to patients, self, and others - Prepares patients for procedures with appropriate instruction and positions them safely for imaging - Assumes responsibility for the physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures - Participates in multidisciplinary team activities including committees and department projects - Assists physicians during interventional procedures and practices aseptic technique - Provides instruction to staff members and students as needed - May be required to flex work hours or shifts as necessary to support department needs - Holiday and on-call rotations required Requirements - Graduate of an accredited radiography program - Minimum of 2 years experience as an MRI Technologist - Current ARRT(R) and ARRT(MRI) certifications required - Current BLS certification required - Ability to perform venipuncture and administer contrast media Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625027.
