Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: ---The RN Cancer Coordinator nfluences and transforms oncology systems through education of mission partners and process improvements in the clinical environment, including policy change. This individual focuses their work on achieving quality, cost-effective patient care in settings across the oncology healthcare delivery continuum. The RN cancer coordinator also serves as a resource to support oncology services locally, regionally, and ministry wide. Their goal is to oversee expert care to oncology patients, guide other staff members to embrace process improvements, all with the ultimate goal of enhancing healthcare delivery within their immediate sphere of influence and for the entire population they serve. This is accomplished by designing innovative, evidence based interventions, influencing nurse critical thinking, educating and supporting independent nursing practice. This role will provide education, support quality and accreditations within the cancer program.------
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelors Licenses/Certifications:State RN license Other Licenses/Certifications: Current American Heart Association CPRCertification in oncology on hire or within six months of eligibility for exam. Experience: 2 years' work experience in oncology.Other skills/knowledge:Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Master's Experience:Experience in education, program development and change management.Knowledge and experience in cancer accreditations and certifications. Other requirements/information: Strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with health care providers and the clinical oncology team.
