Starting pay will be determined based on experience, longevity, etc. There will be an opportunity for a review with possible increase after initial training is completed around 90 days and annual reviews after that.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager dedicated to support our employees, leads and supervisors, setting a positive example for our dedicated team. This is a salaried position, working our production shift - 10 hour day shift Monday through Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, and Fridays 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. (Working approx. 48 hrs per week.)

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in manufacturing involving wood, assembly, finishing, CNC, upholstery and other craftsmanship processes.

We are a family-owned and operated furniture manufacturer that has been in business for over 40 years. We design and make high-performance lounge seating and tables used in hospitals, doctor's offices, schools, libraries, colleges, workplaces, and many other places.

We manufacture hundreds of different seating products with sustainable features and a variety of add-ons and customizable options. Our furniture is hand-crafted and built to order with the highest quality standards and innovative methods.

You'll be part of a highly skilled team making beautiful, high-performance lounge seating and tables that comforts users and enhances healing, working, learning and even playing. Each week brings forth new and unique orders. Our team requires skill and attention to detail.

*Operations Efficiency*

*This candidate will first spend adequate time in each department on the floor working with our team to learn the different processes, procedures and identify opportunities to improve production efficiencies.*

* *Primary Responsibilities: *
* Direct and manage all activities in the production departments to successfully deliver results on time.
* Develop high performance work teams that are cross trained in critical functions with the flexibility to meet daily production, quality and safety goals.
* Coordinate the timely delivery of product to meet production schedules and customer deliveries. Work with Purchasing to ensure adequate material availability.
* Use the Master Production Schedule to report the status of production throughout the day.
* Assist in identifying changes to improve the overall effectiveness of the operation.
* Communicate with key support personnel in Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Customer Service, Mill and Upholstery production.
* Direct production leads in the completion of the weekly shopping lists of parts and supplies.
* Ensure Preventive Maintenance schedules and Maintenance downtime is addressed immediately.
* Maintain the accuracy of the MSDS Sourcing library for assigned purchased items.


* Participate in identifying hiring needs, employee selection and training. Establish individual goals for team members in alignment with business goals
* Coach, counsel and develop department personnel. Provide timely completion of employee performance reviews. Identify strengths and development areas to improve overall efficiency of the employee and the operation
* Manage labor as a % of sales
* Implement a cross-training program to maximize the efficiency of the operation.
* Develop your supervisors to be knowledgeable and skilled in proactive schedule completions, employee management and the Employee Handbook. Make certain all administration tasks are completed timely and accurately.
* Coordinate the overall janitorial, preventive maintenance and repairs for the facility and equipment.

*Oversee All Production Safety*


* Confer with Engineering to establish quality control standards. Set up and maintain controls while monitoring employees, equipment and tooling to insure quality standards are achieved. Advise on known problems and coordinate corrective actions.
* Work with the Industrial Engineer to develop Standard Work Practices tools and fixtures for all production departments.
* Train all employees on quality expectations. Audit work on a daily basis.
* Maintain a log on scrap and rework. Establish corrective actions to avoid reoccurrences.
* Monitor all new products and product revisions during the production process.
* Check work orders that are not run frequently to ensure a quality product.

*Will oversee: *


-Coordinating of all outside service deliveries and pick-ups to meet schedules

-Updating SAP daily receipts and transfers

-Maintaining a clean, orderly dock and warehouse

-Filling picklists and transfer to the appropriate drop zone weekly

-Conducting weekly cycle counts, report and investigate discrepancies

-Coordinating of the customer shipments with the carriers

-Monitoring supply of shipping materials-boards, beams, blankets, supplies

-Ensuring product is packaged and loaded correctly to avoid any damage

-Processing closing of production orders, bill of ladings and packing lists

-Verifying cube calculator and product weights

*Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.*
