In general, this position is highly dynamic and requires significant multi-tasking and exceptional
communication skills across all aspects of the business. The Program Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Program Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

The Program Manager will be engaged with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Partners, and our Customers. The candidate must be honest, of the highest integrity, and become, over time, an empowered leader within the company. The successful candidate must be able to manage in both good and difficult situations with many programs running concurrently in varied phases including bid and proposal. It is critical that the successful candidate be customer-focused, schedule-driven, and have a powerful drive toward successfully accomplishing tasks and jobs on time and on budget. This person must be able to earn the respect of the organization and motivate/drive groups toward end objectives collaboratively.

Design and Engineering: The Program Manager is the conduit of the customer's contract and
specification requirements to the design team for all programs assigned to them. A thorough up-front review and verification that all technical and contractual requirements are properly communicated to the design group and continual Verification and Validation that the requirements are integrated into our existing design practices is essential. Typical programs require timely and accurate reporting to the customer on design status, submission of analysis reports, percent complete on design, and others that are communicated by the Program Manager.

Nearly all programs have design reviews with the customer present. The Program Manager will have a significant role in these meetings including coordination, completion, preparation, assignment, and in presentation. Developing the actual presentation materials from all required groups and putting a cohesive presentation together. The Program Manager typically facilitates the design reviews (Proposal, Kick-off Meetings, SRR, PDR, CDR, TIM's, TRR, PRR, ETC.) with various disciplines providing support and presenting their material. The Program Manager will be the application-specific process owner of our internal gated process APDS (Aerospace Product Development System) and will tailor it to work with our general processes to align with the needs of the specific program being managed.

Production and Subcontractors: The Program Manager collaborates with the Operations Group to assure the customer's contract and statement of work requirements are properly understood, documented, incorporated, and comply with existing procedures. Scheduling and participating in such activities as internal design reviews, Production Readiness Reviews, Testing, Qualification, Planning, and Coordination of customer visits if needed.

If a major subcontractor is being used for a portion of the design, the Program Manager will interact with that company in a similar fashion as to the internal design and production team. Flowing down contract requirements and specifications and verifying compliance in design reviews. These relationships are critical to program success and typically the major subcontractor is known to customers and participates in design reviews, presenting their own material.

Customers: The Program Manager is one of the key faces to the customer from the proposal phase through the delivery of the first qualified flight unit. The Program Manager will track and assure timely execution of all contract deliverables generated internally and by our major subcontractors. This individual should be a people person and thriving in the responsibility of being the face of our Company to our most important clients.

While most projects are external, the Program Manager is also an important internal resource and may be called upon for special internal projects as well (Capital Equipment, Acquisition, Research and Development, and Subcontractor Development are a few recent examples).

Sales and Marketing: The Program Manager will work interactively with Sales and Marketing to
complete proposals, secure new business, negotiate contracts, and grow our internal revenue
streams, product offerings, and profit. The Program Manager is expected to have a high degree of knowledge and expertise in our industry and a detailed understanding of our competitive landscape. The Program Manager will also strive to grow sales within existing accounts and focus on up-selling during application execution.

General: The ideal candidate will be a Program Management expert with both analytical and intuitive skills that can delve deeper into all aspects of a project, work with customers, suppliers, and technical staff to formulate and execute specific plans and strategies while understanding the implications of those strategies on schedule and the bottom line. All the efforts of this position require crisp focus and excellent multi-disciplined communication skills.

Cooperatively lead multi-discipline teams which include Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers.
Be responsible for the full product cycle for each product application.
The candidate must also be ready to support internal projects including capital equipment, research and development projects, and integration of new product lines.

B.S. in Engineering, or non-technical degree with equivalent experience.
Senior Program Management or equivalent experience of (10) years in aerospace-based programs
Demonstrated leadership skills by example, mentoring and running multifaceted teams.
Demonstrated success in Sales, Engineering, Product Development and Contracts.
Exceptional problem solving and organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Extensive skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project, Program Planning, and Estimate to Complete.
The ability to read drawings and an understanding of multi-level BOM's.
Detailed understanding of the requirements of AS9100.
Deep understanding of ITAR and Import/Export Compliance.
Knowledge and experience in cross-cultural/international sales.
U.S. Citizens only (no dual citizenship), capable of obtaining a secret clearance.

Small to mid-sized military, aerospace, and space companies that operate in a low volume high mixed environment is likely to produce this type of candidate.
