In this role, you’ll drive project engineering excellence while supporting professional development, team coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical oversight with strategic personnel management. Responsibilities: Engineering & Project Execution Oversee or develop engineering submittal packages based on project drawings, specifications, and design intent Provide technical support to project teams and assist with complex control system designs Serve as a subject matter expert for DDC controls, mechanical systems, and HVAC sequences of operation Independently lead engineering efforts for high-difficulty or large-scale projects Team Leadership & People Management Supervise and mentor a team of control systems engineers Conduct peer reviews, provide technical guidance, and foster skill development Lead performance reviews, goal-setting, and career development plans Manage workload assignments, resource planning, and training initiatives Collaborate with engineering leadership on hiring, forecasting, and departmental improvements Promote a supportive, engaging, and fun team environment through events and team-building Customer Success & Delivery Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of engineering deliverables Drive continuous improvement and help resolve project or client issues professionally Maintain customer trust and satisfaction through technical expertise and responsive communication Operational Oversight & Business Support Monitor team utilization, labor projections, and performance KPIs Identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and process enhancements Collaborate with project managers to align engineering schedules and deliverables Support the sales team during bidding phases by providing technical insight as needed Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) Deep knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and standard engineering design tools Understanding of control system architecture and building automation sequences Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams Excellent organizational, communication, and mentoring skills Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities independently Interested in hearing more?
