advancement Job Details Position Summary The Maintenance Technician
II plays a key role in supporting equipment uptime and facility
functionality by performing a range of technical tasks related to
troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. The role
involves ensuring that production and facility equipment operate
safely and reliably in accordance with maintenance standards,
safety protocols, and production demands. Primary Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility-related
issues across the production environment. Carry out preventive
maintenance on machinery, utilities, and building systems. Ensure
compliance with safety protocols, standard operating procedures
(SOPs), and industry best practices. Follow all hygiene and
sanitation guidelines as applicable to a regulated production
setting. Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment
reliability and resolve urgent maintenance issues. Maintain
accurate and complete documentation of all maintenance activities.
Respond to work orders, radio calls, and unplanned equipment issues
in a timely and organized manner. Use personal protective equipment
(PPE) as required and report any safety concerns to supervisory
staff. Clean, organize, and maintain assigned areas and tools to
support workplace safety and efficiency. Communicate equipment
status and shift activity with incoming and outgoing technicians.
Support production activities through equipment changeovers,
setups, and teardown procedures. Remain actively engaged on the
production floor, focusing on maintenance tasks, equipment
monitoring, and improvements when not responding to immediate
repair needs. Skills & Experience Requirements Ability to follow
written and verbal instructions. Working knowledge of mechanical,
electrical, and plumbing systems. Basic troubleshooting experience
with production and packaging equipment. Familiarity with
industrial automation systems such as PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
Experience with shop tools and equipment such as mills, presses,
and brakes. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented
environment. Knowledge of maintenance software or CMMS for tracking
and managing tasks. Willingness to work overtime based on
production or staffing needs. Exposure to continuous improvement
methods such as 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. Education &
Preferred Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience in general maintenance roles, with exposure to
mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems. Preferred Formal
training or certification in any of the mechanical, electrical, or
plumbing trades. Experience working in a manufacturing setting,
particularly with regulated processes or equipment. Physical
Requirements Frequently required to walk, climb, and stand for
prolonged periods. Occasionally required to lift and move materials
weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to work on or near moving conveyors and
machinery. Must be capable of remaining on their feet for full
shifts. Work Environment Work is performed in proximity to active
machinery and equipment. May be exposed to varying temperatures,
humidity, airborne particles, and moderate to high noise levels.
Occasional outdoor exposure may be required when maintaining
facility grounds or systems. Quality & Safety Compliance Report any
equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or food/product quality
concerns to management immediately. Support a culture of safety and
product integrity by following all policies and procedures.
Maintain vigilance for out-of-spec conditions, potential
contamination risks, or packaging/material issues, and report
