HNI Corporation , an industry leader inworkplace furnishings, is in search of a Senior RapidContinuous Improvement Engineer to join our HNI Manufacturing Operations team of HON and Allsteel in Muscatine, Iowa!

In our Rapid Continuous Improvement focused organization, engineers in this focus area will perform engineering tasks and projects that are centered on a variety of opportunities for improvement, from simple process changes to larger transformations. You will investigate, analyze, and implement solutions to positively impact our manufacturing operations across your entire plant!
You do not necessarily have to hold a degree in engineering to be considered for this role, though that does help! If you are a natural problem solver, have a mindset for Continuous Improvement, and embrace positive change, these qualities will help lead to your success in this position. This, along with experience in manufacturing and sound knowledge of lean tools and methodologies, will make this a great opportunity for you!
Some of the essential aspects of the Continuous Improvement Engineer position include:
Lead or facilitate project teams for implementation of plant projects working closely with plant management, engineers, and suppliers.
Investigate and provide solutions to productivity, quality, and delivery issues.
Analyze data to determine feasibility of product proposals
Provide new and unique approaches to complex projects and process improvements
What it takes:
Bachelors Degree, preferably in engineering or industrial technology. Business degrees will be considered.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals including RCI, 3P, Value Stream Mapping, and statistical analysis.
6 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a CI-focused capacity
Demonstrated success with implementations of continuous process improvement programs
