We are in search of an Accounting Manager who can efficiently manage general ledger accounting, month end close, and AR/AP. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and finance, offering strategic insights to drive company growth. Client Details Our client is a mid-sized private held manufacturing organization, based in Chicago. With a strong presence in their specific industry, the team provides opportunities to gain visibility to senior leadership and grow within the organization. Description Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department. Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and statements. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities for the company. Engage in strategic planning to enhance financial performance and business opportunities. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Develop and mentor a high performing finance team. Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits. Profile A successful 'Accounting Manager' should have: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and software. Proven ability to manage a finance team. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Relevant educational background in Accounting, Finance or related field.
