Job Description:
Job Summary: As a member of the Compliance & Risk Management
team, the ComplianceAuditor works under the direction of the
Compliance Officer to collaboratively support the administration of
the FHN Compliance and Risk Management programs. This position is
responsible for performing internal risk assessments, audits and
monitoring activities as outlined in the FHN Compliance Plan.Job
Responsibilities: Conduct risk assessments, audits, and monitoring
to ensure compliance with applicable health care laws, regulations,
and policies (i.e. Fraud and Abuse Laws; The Anti-Kickback Statute,
The Physician Self-Referral Law (Stark Act), The False Claims Act,
Antitrust Laws, Tax-exemption Principles)Conduct audits to support
duties of the risk management programCreates audit reports and
presents to FHN Leadership and other involved workforce
membersResearch applicable federal, state, and local laws,
regulations, and policiesWork as a liaison to leadership to ensure
regulatory compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and
policiesCreate and update regular health care compliance training
and educationTracks and maintains database (i.e. ComplyTrack)
compliance activity accurately and timely necessary for
reportingParticipates in auditing and assigned other duties
necessary for accurate and timely response to internal or external
investigationsMaintains and develops health care compliance
policies and procedures within the scope of the FHN Compliance Plan
required for implementation of an effective compliance
programParticipates in ensuring completion of process improvement
and corrective action workrelated to audit outcomesDisplays
competency for the Compliance Auditor role as evidences in the
annual performance appraisal following the FHN PRIDE StandardsOther
duties and projects as assignedThe ideal candidate enjoys working
independently and in a team environment. Superior written and
verbal communication, analytic, organization, and interpersonal
skills. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred
experience with Meditech. This position requires skills to
effectively collaborate and communicate complex topics to FHN
leadership team members, medical staff, and other workforce
members. Understanding of the healthcare regulatory industry, with
some experience in conducting compliance
audits.Education/Experience: Associates degree required; Bachelor's
degree preferred.May consider individuals with at least 5 years of
experience with professional certification in Healthcare Compliance
or Internal Audit. 2-5 years related work experience required in
